Animal processing waste {AU}| market for animal processing waste | AusLCI, U

Unit process Australia v00.00.000

This dataset represents the aggregation of animal processing waste across Australia (from beef, sheep, chicken and pork), and their delivery to the rendering plant. The rendering plant is assumed to be located at the abattoir, so no transport is considered. It was developed as part of the LCAgMetrics project, a partnership between Agrifutures Australia and Lifecycles, funded by the Australian Government's Sustainability Reporting Uplift Grant as part of the National Agriculture Traceability Grants Program. Documentation for this dataset can be found in the 'LCAgMetrics Methodology for developing Life Cycle Inventory' report, available at https://agrifutures.com.au/ Activities included: delivery of animal processing waste to the rendering plant. This model assumes that the rendering plant is co-located with the abattoir. Production volume: 3693753 tonnes/yr Reference flow: 1 year of animal processing waste production Energy value: 14.85 MJ/kg Nutritional value: Protein: 14.39%; Carbohydrate: 0%; Fat: 26.39% Geography: Australia Technology level: Current Time period: 2020-2025 Record: Paul-Antoine Bontinck; Tel: +61(0)3 9417 1190; email: office@lifecycles.com.au; company: Life Cycle Strategies; Country: AU Generator: Paul-Antoine Bontinck; Tel: +61(0)3 9417 1190; email: office@lifecycles.com.au; company: Life Cycle Strategies; Country: AU
